If you want to share a single file to multiple locations in Teams without uploading a copy every time, get a link to the file and share that instead.  

Share a file from OneDrive

  1. Select the OneDrive   app on the left side of Teams and go to My files  OneDrive My files icon.

  2. Hover over the file you want to share and select More actions  OD more horizontal icon> Share  OD share icon.

  3. Add people and an optional message.

  4. Select Send  Send icon.​​​

Share to a channel

To share a file to a channel:

  1. Select Teams  Teams button in Teams.

  2. Select the channel you want to upload a file to.

  3. Select the Posts tab.

  4. Find the post you want to share a file to.

  5. Beneath the post, select Reply > More actions and apps Cross icon at top of the screenAttach file .

  6. Find and select a file.

  7. Select Send  Send icon.

Teams posts your link to the channel, including the name of the team and channel where the file is stored. 

In the Files or Shared tab of a chat or channel, tap More options  More options button > Copy link to get a share link. Then, you can either send in a message, or share in the app of your choice.
