Get Help has troubleshooters for classic Teams you can run for many common scenarios. These often help resolve issues without the need to contact support. If a troubleshooter is available for your issue, select Start to run that troubleshooter.

Available classic Teams troubleshooters

Note: Get Help troubleshooters are not applicable to new Teams.

Use the classic Teams add-in for classic Outlook troubleshooter to install the classic Teams add-in for classic Outlook.

  1. Select the button below to start the troubleshooter.

    Start

  2. Click Open if you get a pop-up window indicating This site is trying to open Get Help.

  3. Follow the steps in the Get Help window.

Important: 

  • You need to be on Windows 10 or higher to run the troubleshooter.

  • You need to be on the same Windows PC as classic Outlook to run the troubleshooter.

  • The troubleshooter won't work with new Outlook for Windows.

Use the classic Teams user presence troubleshooter to resolve inaccurate user presence status information displayed in classic Outlook.

  1. Start the Get Help app.

  2. In the Search bar, enter Issues with Teams user presence in Outlook.

  3. Follow the steps provided.

Use the classic Teams sign-in troubleshooter to resolve classic Teams sign-in issues.

  1. Start the Get Help app.

  2. In the Search bar, enter Unable to sign-in to Microsoft Teams.

  3. Follow the steps provided.

After you run any troubleshooter, Get Help provides details on any findings and suggestions for possible remedies. If one of these resolves your problem, close the app and continue working.
