Classic Outlook troubleshooters
Get Help has troubleshooters for classic Outlook you can run for many common scenarios. These often help resolve issues without the need to contact support. If a troubleshooter is available for your issue, select Start to run that troubleshooter.
Available classic Outlook troubleshooters
Note: The Get Help troubleshooters are not applicable to new Outlook for Windows. Check to see if the new Outlook toggle is turned on or off. If it's on, see Troubleshooting Outlook issues.
Use the classic Outlook profile setup troubleshooter to set up Microsoft 365 email in classic Outlook.

Start the Get Help app.

In the Search bar, enter Set up Microsoft 365 email in Outlook.

Follow the steps provided.
Use the classic Outlook startup troubleshooter to resolve issues when classic Outlook for Windows is unable to start.

Select the button below to start the troubleshooter.

Click Open if you get a pop-up window indicating This site is trying to open Get Help.

Follow the steps in the Get Help window.

You need to be on Windows 10 or higher to run the troubleshooter.

You need to be on the same Windows PC as classic Outlook to run the troubleshooter.

The troubleshooter won't work with new Outlook for Windows.
Use the classic Outlook authentication check troubleshooter to resolve classic Outlook password authentication issues.

Start the Get Help app.

In the Search bar, enter Outlook password problem.

Follow the steps provided.
Use the classic Outlook connectivity troubleshooter to resolve intermittent connectivity issues.

Select the button below to start the troubleshooter.

Click Open if you get a pop-up window indicating This site is trying to open Get Help.

Follow the steps in the Get Help window.

View troubleshooter results
After you run any troubleshooter, Get Help provides details on any findings and suggestions for possible remedies. If one of these resolves your problem, close the app and continue working.
