Note: Project Manager (preview) is currently rolling out to customers. Learn more about it in Frequently asked questions about Project Manager.

Project Manager (preview) can use files added to the plan as sources to improve its output. By providing these input sources, the project manager delivers more accurate and contextually relevant responses.

Add resources

To add resources to the plan that will be used by the project manager:

  1. Navigate to the Project Manager view.

  2. Under Share your goal and relevant content, select Add files for better results. Or, if you've already added some files, select + More.

  3. Choose the file that you'd like the project manager to use as a source.

Important: Any files that are added to the plan will be made available to all plan members. Only select files that all team members should have access to.

  4. The project manager will automatically take these files into account on all future task generation or execution.

Let’s look at an example of how adding resources to the plan can improve output. Adele is a marketing manager at an architecture firm. She’s driving the marketing plan for a new service her firm is offering called, "Workspace Strategy and Design" to create flexible and efficient work environments that adapt to the changing needs of businesses and their employees. She uploads a set of files to her plan for the project manager to reference:

  • Workspace Strategy and Design service plans.docx - a document that outlines the different service plans offered as part of this new service, allowing the project manager to reference these offerings in its output.

  • Workspace Strategy and Design Walking Deck.ppt - a PowerPoint deck that gives an overview of the new service, helping the project manager understand the purpose of the service and its unique details.

  • Brand guide.ppt - an overview of the architecture firm’s branding, allowing the project manager to create collateral that meets their brand guidelines.

Without these files, the project manager wouldn’t have contextual knowledge about the service, and its output would be very standard and not rooted in unique team context.

Remove resources

To remove resources that you no longer want the project manager to reference:

  1. Navigate to the Project Manager view.

  2. Select X next to the file that you'd like to remove.

  3. Select Remove in the confirmation pop up.

  4. The project manager will no longer reference these files for future task generation or execution, and these files will be removed from the associated Loop workspace.

Important: Removing a file from a plan doesn't remove access from members of the plan. If you'd like to remove access from members, do so directly from the file.

View all resources in Loop

All resources will be added to the Loop workspace associated with the plan. To view the full set of resources associated with the plan:

  1. Select Loop in the plan header.

Note: If you don't see Loop in the main header, select the overflow (...) menu, and then select Loop.

  2. You'll be navigated to the Loop workspace associated with the plan where you can see all added files in the side pane of the workspace.
