Answers in Viva connects employees with subject matter experts to get their questions answered and increase their overall learning.

Begin your Answers experience by selecting the Answers tab or the Communities tab in the Viva Engage Teams app.

Receive notifications

Answers notifications help you stay up-to-date with latest activity and will appear in the Teams activity feed. Selecting the notification will take you to the question or answer thread that you’re being notified for.  

The following scenarios in Answers will result in a Teams activity feed notification:  

  1. New answer to your question

  2. New answer to a question that you follow

  3. Question that you follow gets the best answer

  4. Someone tagged you (@mention) in a question

  5. Your answer gets marked as the best answer

  6. You receive a new badge

  7. Upvotes to your question

  8. Upvotes to your answer

You won't receive multiple notifications for the same notification scenario occurring for one question thread, but the number count on the notification itself will update.

Receive the Answers Digest email with questions for you 

The Answers Digest is an automated email you'll receive with questions from the Questions for you feed that you might be able to answer. You'll receive the Answers Digest as often as once per day if there are unseen questions from the past 24 hours that you may be able to answer based on topics you follow and other signals.

In the Answers Digest, you can engage with questions and answers through upvotes, reactions, and more, without ever leaving your email.
