With a Microsoft 365 subscription, you can add expiration dates and passwords to files you share in OneDrive to make them more secure.

In your browser, select a file or folder.

Select Share.

Select Link settings.

Set an expiration date.

Set a strong password.

Select Apply.

Type names, email addresses, add a message and select Send.
Or copy the link and share it however you want.

Send the password in a separate message so recipients can open the file.
Important: The link works until the expiration date. Create another link to give access again.
