In Microsoft Teams (free), community owners can update the community's settings at any time.
Update the settings in a community
If you're a community owner, you can adjust and manage the settings to your community. You can also change and update your community's name, description, and guidelines.

Tap the Home tab in the Teams app.

Tap the community that you would like to update the settings in.
Note: Community names and descriptions cannot contain links, profanities, or restricted terms to protect users from scams, phishing, and malware.

Tap the community name at the top of the screen.

You can do the following:

Get the Share link if the Allow members to share link is enabled.

Get the QR code if the Allow members to share link is enabled.
Note: If the Allow members to share link is disabled, existing links are still active and community owners still have access and can share existing links. The buttons for the share link and QR code will no longer be visible to members. However, members that still have a join link can share and use it. The only way to generate a new link is for the community owner to Create a new link.

Turn on Require approval to join to enable you to approve new members before they can join.

Tap the Home tab in the Teams app.

Tap the community that you would like to update the settings in.

Tap the community name at the top of the screen.

Tap the Edit button at the top of the screen. From here you can:

Change the profile picture for your community.

Change your community name.
-
Add or update the Description of your community.
-
Add or update the Guidelines for your community.

After you're done, tap SAVE at the top of the screen to submit your changes.
Update a channel in a community
You can update and manage the settings in a channel you own. To delete a channel, see Leave or delete a community or channel in Microsoft Teams (free).

Tap the Home tab in the Teams app.

Tap the channel that you would like to update the settings in.

Tap the three dots on the right side of the channel name. Then tap Edit channel to change the emoji or channel name.

Tap the checkmark to submit changes.
Update the settings in a community

Tap the three dots on the right side of the channel name. Then tap Edit channel to change the emoji or channel name.

Delete community. Manage a community you own
To manage membership roles and approve new member request.

Select Community from the app bar on left side of the screen.

Select the community you want to edit from the list under Communities.

Select More options on the right side of the community name.

Select Manage community .

Select the community Members tab at the top of the screen to see the current members and their role.

Select the Member Requests tab at the top of the screen to view and approve requests from new members who want to join your community.

Select Community from the app bar on the left side of the screen.

Select the community you want to edit from the list under Communities.

Select More options on the right side of the community name.

Select Edit community . From here you can:

Change the profile picture for your community.

Change your community name.

Add or update the Description of your community.

Add or update the Guidelines for your community.

You can do one of the following:

Select Save to submit your changes.

Select Cancel to exit without submitting any changes.
