In Microsoft Teams (free), if you choose to, you can report a concern with a message, image, file, or community. Microsoft will evaluate the request and content will be removed if it violates the Microsoft Code of Conduct.

  • When a concern is reported on a message, Microsoft will receive the conversation thread information, message, time, identifier of the reporter of the concern, category of concern, and notes from the submission.

  • When a concern is reported on a community, Microsoft will receive the community name, website link, description, guidelines, banner image, identifiers of the community owners, identifier of the reporter of the concern, category of concern, and notes from the submission.

  • A message might be deleted automatically if it doesn't adhere to the Microsoft Teams (free) Community Standards. Learn more about why was my community message deleted in Microsoft Teams (free)?

  • When choosing to remain anonymous when reporting a concern, make sure you don't include any identifying information in the Notes field.

  • In certain situations, it might not be possible to maintain anonymity when reporting a concern due to the involvement of the participants. For example, this might be the case with one-to-one chats and communities with only two users.
