Mark a message as important or urgent in Microsoft Teams
To help make sure your message gets noticed, mark it as important or urgent.

Select Set delivery options underneath the box where you type your message.

Select Important or Urgent.
Mark a message as important or urgent at any time before sending it with the steps above. If you've already sent your message, edit your message and assign a priority to it.
To edit your message in Teams, hover over the message, then select Edit . Then follow the steps above to assign a priority.
To undo this option, select Set delivery options underneath the box where you type your message, then select Standard, and the message will be sent as usual.
An important message shows up with the word IMPORTANT! in the chat, while an urgent message notifies a person or group every 2 minutes for 20 minutes or until they read it. You’ll need to decide what messages are urgent based on your organization or group.
Note: Marking a message as Urgent is not available in channels or in group chats with more than 20 participants.

Tap Priority.
