Crisis communications
Applies To
Microsoft TeamsWhen a critical event occurs or important news needs to be addressed within your company, your team needs to quickly work with all necessary internal and external stakeholders. You need an easy way to alert the issue to the right people, plan how to respond, discuss required actions, and then share the communication with the broader organization.
Details
Manage conversations and share resources to develop crisis communications and address important issues in Microsoft Teams. Invite internal and external stakeholders and use chat and audio or video calling to discuss issues and plan a response. Save documents and other resources like videos to the Files tab, so everyone is aware of the latest updates. Coauthor communications in real time and use @mentions to get input and approval from the right people.
Once you have a communication plan, share it with the entire company using Viva Engage. Employees can ask questions in real time, and leadership can provide context and answer questions on plans moving forward. Engage can also be used to share resources, insights, and latest developments between users. Nurture ongoing conversations to surface feedback and areas you can focus on to improve future communications. You can also use Engage in crisis situations where events evolve quickly and people need self-solve problems.
