Provided by Windows 365, Cloud PCs are highly available, optimized, and scalable virtual machines that provide users with a rich Windows desktop experience. They're hosted in the Windows 365 service and are accessible from anywhere, on any device. It's your personal PC in the cloud. 

Cloud PCs are created automatically by the Windows 365 service when an admin in your organization assigns a Windows 365 license to a user in an appropriate Azure Active Directory user group.

Note: Cloud PCs aren't manually created by users or admins.

You can access your Cloud PCs by using:

Tip: Browser and app-based access is available for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.

  • To transfer files from the local device to the Cloud PC, select the upload icon to launch File Explorer. Select the files to transfer them to the \This PC\Windows365 virtual drive\Uploads folder on the Cloud PC.

  • To transfer files from the Cloud PC to the local device, copy the files to the Downloads folder on the Cloud PC. The files will be copied to the \This PC\Windows365 virtual drive\Downloads folder of the local device.

  • You can perform a variety of actions on your Windows 365 Cloud PC, just like you would on your physical PC. Learn more.
