Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 are apps from Microsoft that allow you to stay up to date on your email across multiple accounts and to optimally manage your schedule. Designed for both work and home, Windows Mail lets you access all your different email accounts (including Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo!, and others) in a single, centralized interface. With it, there's no need to go to different websites or apps for your email.

Notes:

  • While Mail and Calendar for Windows 10 support Outlook, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 accounts, they are separate applications from Outlook and Outlook.com.

  • If you're looking for help with Microsoft Outlook applications or your Outlook account, go to the Outlook help center.

For more help with this, see Change or update your email password.

  • Where are my email messages or events? If you don’t see older emails, you might need to change your sync duration. If your older events or events far in the future aren't visible, don't worry. The events are still there, but they're outside the range that Calendar for Windows 10 displays.

  • How do I get rid of the mail in my trash folder? Follow the steps in this Microsoft Answers thread.

  • How do I see and edit my contacts, and send mail to contact groups? First, be aware that Windows Mail is an app that lets you consolidate several mail systems so that you can access all your mail in one place. It's not a stand-alone mail client. Therefore, its contacts functionality is limited, and to create a contact group, you have to use a workaround, such as the following:

    1. Open the Mail app and start a new email.

    2. On the To line, type the email addresses of the people you want in the new contact group. Put a semicolon after each email address.

    3. After your email list is complete, highlight the whole list with your pointer (or press Ctrl+A) and then press Ctrl+C to copy the list to the clipboard.

    4. Open the People app and start a new contact. Give the new contact a descriptive name (for example, Fellow progressive activists), and then paste (Ctrl+V) the list of email addresses you copied in step 3 into the Personal email box. Select Save.

    5. To mail your new contact group, start a new email in the Mail app, select the People icon next to the To box, and search for your contact group.

    6. Select the contact group and click Done (the check mark) at the lower right. All the email addresses of the contact group members are populated on the To line.

  • I'm having sync issues. If events you created or updated aren't showing on your computer or in the Calendar, try resolving sync issues.

  • Some of my events are missing or have disappeared. If this happens and you don't receive an error message, you might need to change your sync duration.

  • How do I sign out of my calendar account? You can’t sign out of an account that’s been added to the Mail or Calendar apps. However, you can delete an account. To learn how, see Delete an email account from Mail and Calendar apps.

  • How do I change the weather location displayed on the calendar? Select the Start button on the taskbar, and type location privacy settings to open the Location pane. Scroll down through the options to set a default location, to choose which apps can access your precise location (Weather is one option in this list), and so forth. You may have to restart the computer for these settings to take effect.
