Warranty Overview

Your Microsoft PC accessory comes with a limited hardware warranty depending on the device.

For Microsoft Modern Accessories

The information below applies to the following devices: 

  • Microsoft Modern Webcam

  • Microsoft Modern USB-C Speaker

  • Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset

  • Microsoft Modern USB-C Headset

  • Microsoft Modern USB Headset

To check your warranty and get an order started:

  1. Go to Microsoft account | Devices 

  2. First register your device by selecting "register device"

  3. Select "Other Microsoft Accessories"

  4. Enter your serial number Find the serial number on your Microsoft or Surface device

For all other Microsoft PC Accessories check your proof of purchase to identify the warranty period

In order to get warranty support, you will need to provide a valid sales/purchase receipt.  A valid sales/purchase receipt will clearly indicate the retailer name, the purchase date, and the item purchased as shown in the example below (in English only). If the sales/purchase receipt does not clearly indicate these requirements, it will not be accepted.

Your receipt (or proof of purchase) should state the store where the device was purchased, the date, and have the device listed (or itemized).
