If you can't sign in to your Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or MSN email account, or you're not sure how to sign in or sign out, here are some solutions.
Sign in to Hotmail or Outlook.com
To sign in to Outlook.com or Hotmail, you'll need your Microsoft Account username and password.
: Check the Don't show this again box if you want to go straight to Outlook.com next time (not recommended for shared computers).
Can't sign in to Hotmail or Outlook.com?
Microsoft always keeps an eye out for unusual sign-in activity, just in case someone else is trying to get into your account. If you're travelling to a new place or using a new device, we might ask you to confirm that it really is you.

If you're unable to sign in, try the troubleshooter below.
Sign out of Hotmail or Outlook.com

To sign out, go to Outlook.com.

Select your account initials or account picture at the top corner of your Inbox.

Select Sign out.

If you don't see your picture at the top of screen, check to see if ad blocking is turned on. Sometimes this prevents the picture from showing.

If you don't see see Profile or Account options, you can access them at https://account.microsoft.com/.

If you don't see Sign Out, you can also Sign out manually. Don't forget to close all browser windows.

If Outlook.com automatically signs you in, turn off automatic sign in.

In Outlook.com, select your account picture at the top of the screen.

Select Sign out.

Go to the Outlook.com sign-in page and select Sign in.

Enter your email address or phone number and select Next.

On the Enter password page, clear Keep me signed in.

Enter your password and select Sign in.
