Imagine this scenario. Abigail graduated from college three months ago and was just hired as a Marketing Coordinator in a digital customer experience agency. Her first client requested a marketing campaign to celebrate their 75-year anniversary. The client also provided a list of high-level goals for the campaign, but Abigail needs to create specific tasks for each of those goals.

To create tasks for the campaign in Planner, Abigail completes the following steps:

  1. Open Planner in the Microsoft Teams app.

  2. Select an existing plan.

  3. At the top right of the plan, select the  Copilot IconCopilot icon.

  4. In the compose box, enter “Add tasks for generating over 100,000 impressions on a social media post.”

  5. Select the Send arrow and Copilot adds its suggested tasks to your plan.

Abigail repeats this process using Copilot in Planner for all the client’s goals until she has a robust list of tasks to complete. Abigail can then add the client’s goals to the plan and connect tasks to those goals, or create buckets in the plan’s board view and add tasks to them.
