The Primary Objectives field contains the primary objectives for the current proposal, as selected in the Primary Objectives lookup table, which comes with Microsoft Project Server and can be modified to reflect an organization’s specific objective statements. This field is controlled by the workflow.

Best Uses Add the Primary Objectives field to a proposal when you want to specify the main objectives for a project. This provides useful information for the Portfolio Analysis process.
Example You are proposing a project to develop a Web-based customer service solution. You add the Primary Objectives field to the proposal. In the lookup table that appears in the field, you select the objective regarding increasing customer satisfaction and another objective regarding decreasing customer service costs.
Remarks This field is an example of a custom enumerated field provided with Microsoft Project Server. You can view a list of available custom fields, and also create your own. In the left pane of Microsoft Project Web Access, click Server Settings. Under Enterprise Data, click Enterprise Custom Fields and Lookup Tables.
