The Remaining Cumulative Work fields contain the remaining amount of time scheduled for all resources assigned to task, accumulated over time.

There are three categories of Remaining Cumulative Work fields.

Data Type    Duration

Remaining Cumulative Work (task-timephased field).

Entry Type    Calculated

How Calculated    The Work field contains the total amount of time scheduled for a task. The Cumulative Work field contains the amount of time scheduled for resources assigned to tasks, accumulated over time. Project calculates remaining cumulative work as follows:

Remaining Cumulative Work = Total Work – Cumulative Work

Best Uses    Add the Remaining Cumulative Work field to the timephased portion of the Task Usage view to review remaining cumulative work information for tasks. You can use this information to review how much scheduled work remains to be completed for a task on a given day.

At day 1, the remaining cumulative work is 6 hours. At day 2, it is 1 hour. At day 3, it is 0 hours..
