Description The E-mail Address field contains the e-mail address of a resource. If the E-mail Address field is blank, Microsoft Office Project uses the name in the Name field as the e-mail address.
Best Uses Add the E-mail Address field to a resource view when you want to display, filter, or edit the e-mail addresses for resources. Use this e-mail address when sending schedule notes or the entire project to resources via e-mail.
The e-mail address can also be used for e-mail notifications when you send team collaboration updates through Microsoft Office Project Server.
Example
You will be communicating with the resources in your project using Project Server.
You have entered resource names in the format of "Sean Jones." However, e-mail names are in the form of "sjones." You add the E-mail Address field to the Resource Sheet view, and then type the e-mail addresses.
Project then uses these e-mail addresses whenever you send an update to a resource regarding a task assignment.
Remarks The E-mail Address field is not available for material resources.
