Description The Text Above field indicates where text on the subtask Gantt bars appears when rolled up to the summary task bar. If you click Yes, the text appears above the summary Gantt bar. If you click No, the text appears below the summary task bar.
Best Uses Add the Text Above field to the Gantt Chart view to control how rolled up Gantt bar text is to appear on the summary task bar. Staggering the values between consecutive tasks can make the summary task bar easier to read and keep it from appearing too busy or having truncated text.
Example You have custom text appearing with each of your task bars. You want to roll up these subtasks to their summary task bars, and you want the custom text included. You use the Text Above field to indicate which text will appear above or below the summary task bar to ensure the readability of the text.
