For iPad or iPhone, you can change the color of your notebook or sections — either for aesthetic purposes or to visually categorize your notebook content in OneNote in the same way you might differentiate notebooks or sections of a traditional paper notebook.
Change the color of a notebook
-
Tap the Show Notebooks button until you see the notebook list.
-
Press and hold the notebook to select it. A checkmark will appear next to the notebook when it is selected.
-
At the bottom of the notebook list tap the Color icon.

Change the color of a section
-
In the section list, press and hold the section name to select it. A checkmark will appear next to the notebook when it is selected. At the bottom of the section list:

-
-
Choose the color you want for your section and then tap Done.
Change the page color or paper style of a page
You can change the color and paper style for individual notebook pages.
Note: You cannot change the color or paper style for OneNote notebooks on an iPhone.
-
Tap on the page whose color you want to change.
-
On the View tab, select one of the following:
-
To change the page color, tap Page Color.
-
To change the paper style, such as for ruled or grid lines, tap Paper Style.
-
Note: You can change the default text font and text size for pages on iPhone and iPad. Open a notebook. In the upper-right, tap Settings, and then tap Edit & View. Changes to default font or font size won't affect your existing notes.
