Applies ToSharePoint Server Subscription Edition SharePoint Server 2019 SharePoint in Microsoft 365 SharePoint admin center

When you add a modern page to a site, you add and customize web parts, which are the building blocks of your page. This article focuses on the Microsoft Stream (classic) web part. The Stream (classic) web part will display a Stream (classic) video or channel on your published page.

If instead you upload video files to SharePoint Online sites, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, or Yammer communities there are many other existing web parts you can use to feature your videos on a page, see this topic for more information: Using videos on SharePoint pages

Note: This web part is not supported in U.S. Government GCC High and DoD or Office 365 operated by 21Vianet.

Microsoft Stream (classic) is transitioning to a new version of Stream built on the M365 files experience. Both services will co-exist during the transition period. For more information about the new version of Stream: https://aka.ms/NewStream
