Note: The information in this article pertains to both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Pro.
If you're using Copilot and you're getting an error that indicates a language isn't currently supported, it means that Copilot cannot process information in that language at this time. You can get an unsupported-language message even if the user interface (UI) is translated into your language.
This article describes what to do if you run into an unsupported-language issue and lists the languages that are currently supported.

What causes an unsupported-language error?
Currently, Copilot supports fewer languages than what's available for the UI. So although you can choose from lots of languages for the UI in Teams and Microsoft 365 Apps, Copilot works with a fewer number of languages.
If you type a prompt in Copilot, and the language you're using or requesting isn't currently supported, you'll get an error message.
What do I do if I get a language error in Copilot?
Copilot provides responses to prompts that are written in supported languages.
If you type a prompt that requests content in another language that isn't currently supported, Copilot displays a message telling you to change your prompt and try again. If you run into this issue, use one of the supported languages for your prompt and try again.
Will more languages be added to Copilot?
Microsoft is planning to add more languages to Copilot. This article will be updated as additional languages are supported.
