Imagine this scenario. Dylan is a software developer who wants to advance his career. He decides to use Copilot in Planner to create a career development plan that will help him track his progress and stay motivated.

To create goals for his plan in Planner, Dylan completes the following steps:

  1. Open Planner in the Microsoft Teams app.

  2. Select + New plan.

  3. On the New plan window, select Premium.

    Note: Basic plans don’t have Copilot available to use.

  4. Enter a name for the new plan, select whether to pin the plan to the left navigation, and choose a group to assign the plan to (optional).

  5. Select Create.

  6. At the top right of the new plan, select the  Copilot IconCopilot icon.

  7. In the compose box, enter “Create goals to grow my career in software development.”

  8. Select the Send arrow and Copilot generates goals and places them in the Goals tab.

After Dylan’s goals to advance his career are in Planner, he can add tasks manually or ask Copilot to add suggested tasks for each of his goals.
