What are captions in a video clip?

Video captions enable you to read the words that are spoken during the recorded video clip. Captions are automatically generated when a video clip is uploaded. Only the video owner can download captions separately from the video itself. Captions cannot be deleted separately from the video clip. To delete captions, just delete the video clip.

To view the list of supported languages for captions, see Language and voice support.
