Microsoft 365, Office 2021, and Office 2019 have Icons—a new kind of illustration for your documents.
Icons are customizable: You can color, resize, style, and rotate icons with no loss of image quality.

Work with icons in an Office document

Select Insert > Icons to see the complete set of icons available for your Office document.
The icons are arranged in categories to help you find what you want.
(If Icons isn't available on your toolbar Ribbon, you have an older version of Office (before 2019) that doesn't support this feature.

Select the icon or icons you want, then select Insert.
In the Insert Icons dialog box, all the icons are small and black, but after you insert it in your document, you can customize an icon's appearance in several ways, as shown below. To begin customizing: Select the icon on the document canvas, then select the Graphics Format tab on the ribbon, where you'll see all the available formatting options. |
Change its color:
Add an outline color:
Assign different colors to different parts of the icon:
(This feature is possible for icons that have distinct, separate parts, like this wristwatch example.)
Change the opacity of the icon:
Rotate or flip it:
Resize it:
Icons still look sharp when you make them bigger or smaller. No jagged, fuzzy edges.
