Create a site with SharePoint Online
Create a site

Sign in to office.com/sign-in.

Select the Microsoft 365 App Launcher and then selectSharePoint.
Can't find the app you're looking for? From the app launcher, select More apps to see an alphabetical list of the Microsoft 365 apps available to you. From there, you can search for a specific app.

Select + Create site.

Select whether you'd like to create a Team site or a Communication site.

Select a template in the Select a template dialog box (from Microsoft or from your organization).

Name your site. Then you'll be asked to add a Site description and select Next.

Set your Privacy settings and the language you want on your site and select Create site.

Add the names or email addresses for everyone you want to be a member of your new site and then select Finish.

Add a page to a site

Go to the home page of the site where you want to add a page.

Select + New, and then select Page.

Select a template from the Page templates dialog box and select Create page.

Add contents to a page
Use web parts to add text, images, links, documents and more to your page.
If the content pane is enabled:

At the top right of the page, select Edit. The Toolbox appears. You'll see a curated list of web parts to choose from.

Select or click-and-drag the web part you want to add.
You can also access available web parts without opening the Toolbox, or if the content pane isn't enabled:

At the top right of the page, select Edit. Hover under the title (or between existing web parts) and select the +.

Select the web part you want to add.

Customize navigation

Select Edit at the bottom of the left-hand menu.

Add links, labels, conversations, and more. You can also edit the Display name or Address for a link, move a link up or down, create sub links, etc.
