On 13th August 2024, the Clipchamp iOS app will be superseded with a new version in the Apple app store. Here’s what you need to know.
Why the change?
We’ve created a brand new version of the Clipchamp iOS app for small businesses to create fast and effective videos.
Some of the exciting new features are:
-
Authentic templates
-
Auto reframe
-
Text to speech
-
Multi-track editor
-
Plus much more
What effect will this have on me?
With the new version, you’ll no longer be able to log into the Clipchamp iOS app using Google, Apple, or Email. To continue using the Clipchamp iOS app, you will need to use Microsoft Authentication (for consumers).
How will this impact my Clipchamp projects?
If you update to the new app, you will no longer be able to access existing projects. We recommend exporting any existing projects before the update to avoid losing your work.
How will I be able to I sign up or log in?
You’ll be able to sign up or log in with a personal Microsoft account only. Microsoft accounts for work or school will not be available at this time. Additionally, email, Google and Apple will no longer be available after the update.
Frequently asked questions:
Do I have to update?
The update to Clipchamp Mobile 2.0 is optional. You can continue using the old version with your existing account, and you’ll still have access to your projects. However, the existing app will not be maintained and will eventually stop working. The recommendation is to upgrade to the new and improved app.
Why should I update?
You’ll get access to a range of new features like auto reframe, text to speech, royalty-free content, social media templates and more. Plus, we’ve made the editing experience a lot easier to use.
Why will I lose access to my projects?
We’re fundamentally changing the way the Clipchamp iOS app works, for the better! Your old projects won’t be compatible in the new editor.
