Data Type Date
Entry Type Calculated
Description The Complete Through field shows the progress of a task on the Gantt Chart, indicating the point up to which actuals have been reported for the task. This field is available only in the Bar Styles dialog box and is represented as a bar on the Gantt Chart.
How Calculated When you use the Complete Through field on a bar on the Gantt Chart, Microsoft Project draws a graphical representation of the task's completion percentage value. Therefore, on the Gantt Chart, the bar indicates the date through which the task is complete.
Best Uses Add the Complete Through field to a Gantt bar when you want to indicate graphically on the Gantt Chart the point up to which actual work has been reported for the task.
Example You want to view graphically how much actual work has been done on your project. On the Gantt Chart, you add the Complete Through Gantt bar to show the date up to which tasks are completed. For example, the "Develop estimate" task is a two-day task that starts on Friday and ends on Monday. The task is marked 50 percent complete. On the Gantt Chart, the Complete Through bar runs from the task start date and time on Friday through the Complete Through date and time of Monday at 8:00 A.M.
Remarks You can set the Complete Through bar on the Gantt Chart in the Bar Styles dialog box.
By default, the progress bar uses the Complete Through field on the Gantt Chart.
